Another second generation standout, Jared Carle, has taken touch football by storm.

Hi father Donnie, and mother Dawn, have been elite Canadian Champions multiple times through their infamous ONTFL squads, The Canadians and Devils. It really wasn’t a surprise to us that Jared’s DNA, and hockey background, would transfer well into touch football.

However, the ridiculous explosive speed he posses always shocks defender’s when he hits the open field, or baffles receivers when he closes the distance like they’re standing still, even if he was several yards back.

Now that he’s had 3 years to develop with his Fellas, he was brought into a higher tier on TFO’s Trillium Tour with the Seminoles, cementing himself as one of their top defenders. Of course, he’s a threat on both sides of the ball, which quarterback Sandro Panetta has made great use of on his offence.

At only 26, it’s scary to imagine where he’ll be in a few years, as he enters his athletic prime, just as his football IQ reaches new heights. Regardless, he’s going to be a huge problem for his opponents for a long time, but an enjoyable one for our camera crews!

We’re excited to launch our new Player Spotlight series, and we couldn’t have chosen a more exciting player than Isabella de Brienne to kick it off. One of many second generation talents in the ONTFL, “Bella” always stands out on the field.

Through crisp patterns, sure hands, and an uncanny/uber athletic ability to pull in seemingly uncatchable throws, Bella is a quarterback’s dream, and a defender’s nightmare.

Her talent is unsurprising, as her blazing fast mom, Tina de Brienne, was the most feared rusher in all of women’s touch football in her prime.

This will be a weekly series, spotlighting players from men’s and women’s. Tomorrow we’ll be sharing our first male choice, another second generation superstar, stay tuned!

For the first time in over 14 years, the Ed Laverty Nationals are returning to Ottawa, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome the very best teams, players, officials and supporters from across Touch Football Ontario TFO to our Nation's Capital!

Named in honour of Ed Laverty Ed Laverty Legacy , whose passion and dedication to running the Ottawa-Nepean Touch Football League for over 50 years and serving Touch Football Ontario for more than a decade helped grow the game of touch football for generations, this tournament celebrates not only elite competition, but also the incredible community, friendships and legacy that continue to inspire our sport today.

As teams prepare for battle in St Catharines this weekend, let's look back at the action from Belleville this past June.

Teams across Ontario fought though hot, to stormy, bipolar weather conditions over the two day grueling event, leaving it all on the field to chase points, titles, giving our camera crew gold in the process.

🏈 BELLEVILLE TOURNAMENT WEEKEND 🏈

On behalf of Touch Football Ontario:
