🏊‍♂️🏆 EASTERN ONTARIO LC REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆🏊‍♀️

Capital WAVE was represented by 19 swimmers at the Long Course Regional Championships and they made club history.

For the first time ever, WAVE captured TWO Regional Gold Medals.

🥇 Avery Luo – 50 Breaststroke Champion
🥈 100 Breaststroke
🥈 200 Breaststroke

🥇 Jaxon Burke – 50 Backstroke Champion
🥈 100 Backstroke

Jaxon’s gold medal swim in the 50 Backstroke also earned an Ontario Swimming Championships (OSC) qualifying time. Vivienne added an OSC standard of her own in the 50 Breaststroke after dropping nearly two seconds from her previous best.

Beyond the medals, every athlete represented WAVE with determination, sportsmanship, and team spirit. From first-time Regional qualifiers to Regional Champions, every swimmer contributed to one of the most successful championship performances in club history.

What makes these results even more remarkable is that many of our swimmers are also high-performance water polo athletes. While competing against some of the strongest swim clubs in Eastern Ontario, many of our athletes balance demanding training schedules across both sports. Their success is a testament to their commitment, discipline, and dedication to the WAVE Way.

Congratulations to all 19 swimmers, our coaching staff, and our families for an unforgettable championship weekend. We are incredibly proud of what this team accomplished.

We’re excited to welcome back Mees Keuning to Summer Lake Camp 2026 🇳🇱🌊

Originally from the Netherlands, Mees brings high-level European and international water polo experience to this summer’s camp. His experience competing and training within the Dutch water polo system brings a unique perspective and style of play that campers will have the opportunity to learn from throughout the week.

After a great experience with our athletes last summer, we’re excited to have Mees returning for the 10th edition of Summer Lake Camp and continue building an unforgettable experience for everyone attending this year ☀️

We’re excited to welcome back Jessica Gaudreault to Summer Lake Camp 2026 🇨🇦🌊

Jessica has represented Team Canada on the international stage for over a decade, competing at the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan American Games, and World League events. Widely recognized as one of Canada’s top goalkeepers, she continues to inspire the next generation both in and out of the water.

As a WAVE alumni and coach, Jessica has remained closely connected to the program and continues to play an important role in athlete development within our club.

We’re excited to have her back as part of our 10th annual Summer Lake Camp this summer ☀️
