The Capital City Ambassadors Football Club (CCAFC) was established in 2004,
and became incorporated as a Not-for- profit organization on 17 January 2017. Since its early days, CCAFC has ttracted brothers and sisters from all over the lobe, both from nations where Soccer is religion as well as places where the love affair with the beautiful game is still growing roots. CCAFC entered the Men’s compe
titive division 2 in the Ottawa Carleton Soccer League (OCSL) in 2005. In its inaugural year, the Club enjoyed a successful season with its U21 team, winning the African Caribbean Cup of Nations tournament at the Terry Fox Sports Field, Mooneys Bay Park. The flagship team reached the semi-finals of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CPSL) open tournament, losing to eventual tournament champions. The CPSL, now known as the Canadian Soccer League (CSL), is the highest level of competition in the pyramid of play in Ontario, making this an exceptional feat for a first year club. This early success in turn also acted as a beacon for other players to join the club. CCAF has gone on to achieve other successes, including CCA Stallions’ championship win in the Gloucester Hornets Indoor Super League. The club has grown from three teams in 2014 to eight teams in 2018, comprised of five Men’s senior competitive teams, two Women’s senior competitive team and one Men’s senior recreation team for players 35 years
and older. Throughout the years, CCAFC has prided itself in playing the game with passion and respect, all the while aspiring for its various teams to be among the most skilled in the national capital area.
