NFL Youth Flag Football Program (7-16) brought to the Ottawa/Gatineau Surrounding Area to promote confidence and motivation in every player by providing a safe and positive sporting environment in which every child succeeds. Goal # 1 OYFFL provides an atmosphere where all participants have FUN!

Not every athlete wants a watered-down version of flag football anymore…

Some want competition.
Some want intensity.
Some want the ball in their hands when the game matters.

BUT many athletes still struggle to find a place where they can develop, compete, and actually get meaningful reps.

That’s why OYFFL Varsity (14–16) was built.

Real games.
Real development.
Real competition.
No standing around for half the game.

THEREFORE athletes get the chance to improve, compete with friends, and build confidence on and off the field!

A few spots still remain for Varsity (ages 14–16).

There’s a moment in coaching that doesn’t get talked about enough, but every coach who has ever stood on the sideline knows it.

It doesn’t happen every game, but when it does, you feel it right away.

A receiver runs the route exactly the way you practiced.
A defender pulls a flag using the technique you worked on.
The quarterback looks off a defender and delivers the pass at the perfect moment.

For a split second everything slows down… because you both know what just happened.

You didn’t throw the ball.
You didn’t make the flag pull.
But you were part of it.

Somewhere between a mid-week practice and Saturday’s game, that athlete understood something you taught them — and then went out and did it on their own.

That’s why youth coaches give up their evenings and weekends.

It’s not really about the score.

It’s about watching confidence grow… watching a kid realize they can do something they couldn’t do a few weeks ago.

So when things get hectic, or the weather’s bad, or you’re tired after a long day — remember why you started.

Because that moment is coming again.

And it makes everything worth it.

Many kids never get a chance to actually learn a sport because youth sports has become tryouts, politics, and bench time.

OYFFL exists so:
• kids actually play
• kids touch the ball
• kids build confidence
• kids learn the game properly

Most kids don’t quit sports because they hate them. They quit because they never got the chance to really play.
