A "small" surprise retirement party to celebrate Diane Poitras retiring from Ski Extreme and organizing skip trips for 31 years. Hi all,

To let you know that I am now closing the ski club. I’ve enjoyed every moment, every event and trip with you guys. It is time for me to let it go and move on to other things. I know through the club you met new friends and enjoyed yourself. I am sure you will be able to find things to do.

For the May 11th dinner, I am full at the moment, I can only have a maximum of 30 people. I will only be able to put you on the cancellation list. More details to come soon for that dinner.

Some photos from this year's week-long trip to Steamboat, CO. The year-end dinner is scheduled for Thursday, May 11th at Mill Street pub. You would just order from the menu, no special arrangement. Hopefully you’ve had a good winter and still enjoying it; the winter is not over yet. Enjoy the spring skiing.



Reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, March 30th is our last pub night for this ski season. No proof of vaccination necessary. Let me know if you are thinking of coming at [email protected]. I need to know just to advise the pub, to make sure they have enough staff for us. Same location, Royal Oak in Centerpointe, 7 pm.

Pub nights:

Reminder for our pub nights. The rules might change, but for now the pub is reserving a section for us for 20 people. Reserve those dates in your calendar, it would be nice to see you. I will not send you a reminder every month. So far, the first two pub night went very well. We are still at Royal Oak in Centerpointe.

Quick reminder...Ski Extreme pub night @ Royal Oak at Centerpoint!!

Hi All,

We have not seen each other for quite some time, hopefully you managed to keep yourself busy and healthy during this pandemic. Myself I am well and started to think about what to do for our new ski season coming up 2022. I am sure we are all anxious to get together, to socialize and go back to normal.

Regarding Ski Extreme Club this year, it will be a bit different. I will not be offering as much.

I have a trip planned to Red Mountain and Whitewater, on March 6-13 2022, that includes 4 ski days in Red Mountain and 1 ski day in Whitewater (transportation included) with an option to an extra ski day in Red Mountain or a guided cat-ski day or a guided heli-ski day. The flight will be leaving from Ottawa, flying to Kelowna via Toronto. See brochure for more details and email me if you have any questions and also the fee for the additional options. We have a very nice accommodations base of the hill, ski-in ski-out, that includes delicious hearty breakfast every day. Gendron Travel Agent has representatives at both resorts that will be able to show you the mountain. Let me know before the end of August, via email, if you are interested in coming.

I will also be looking into our famous cross country trip to Val-David and a possibility of another ski trip during week. More details to follow. I will reserve the pub Royal Oak in Centerpointe,the last Wednesday of the month, so we can still gather and socialize.

There will not be any dryland exercise, no lift tickets or lessons offered and no membership fee required. All participants on my trips will have to be fully vaccinated for Covid.

Most of you have probably heard by now about Quebec going into an 18-day lock down starting December 25th that includes closing of non-essential businesses. Here is an update from Mont Saint Marie that talks about the latest restrictions and how it impacts ski resorts. It looks like ski hills will remain open, at least for now.
