The Craig Henry Tennis Club is closed indefinitely. The City of Ottawa contacted the club and asked us to inform our members of this situation, and to block access to the courts. We will let you know when the club is ready to open for the summer. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. This is the City of Ottawa statement:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all City of Ottawa recreation and cultural facilities, including recreation complexes, community centres, arenas, swimming pools, theatres and museums are closed until further notice. This includes all City of Ottawa membership tennis club facilities and courts.

In addition, all city park facilities and park equipment are now closed until further notice. Only walkthroughs are permitted – while respecting physical (social) distancing. This includes public tennis courts that would be due to open in or around May 1. The City will open tennis courts once Ottawa Public Health advises that it is safe to do so and when weather conditions make it feasible.

The online platform is almost ready for the early-bird registration. However, before we ask you to sign up for a new season of tennis at our club, we need to plan for the impact that the current events might have on our club. All the recreational facilities in Ottawa are now closed indefinitely, based on the Ministry of Health’s guidance to limit mass gatherings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. See this page for details: https://ottawa.ca/en/health-and-public-safety/covid-19-ottawa -facilities.

We are hoping for a positive outcome, but the early-bird registration in person at the club, planned for April 18, is cancelled. We must comply with all the decisions that the City of Ottawa makes on the functioning of recreational facilities. Please come back for updates. There will be a newsletter as soon as we have more information to share and a better idea of what the situation at our club might be this season. Thank you for your patience. Take care of yourselves and your families, and stay healthy!

Happy 2020, dear tennis friends! Unfortunately, we're not ready to open the early-bird online registration yet due to technical difficulties resulting from a website upgrade.

We are working hard with our online registration platform provider to have the website fixed. There will be another opportunity to register early - pretty soon, we hope. We will communicate the registration dates as soon as the online platform is ready. Thank you for understanding this situation. If you're a returning member, you will hear from us by email. If you're considering joining our club this year, as a new member, check our website for updates: https://www.craighenrytennis.com.

We'll be also posting the updates here, including the early bird membership discount code. Due to the current health concerns, it's best you register online this year. Stay tuned for updates.
