Uplands Aikido - Koshinkan Dojo

On behalf of our Instructors and students at Uplands Aikido, Koshinkan Dojo I welcome anyone who is interested in learning the unique martial art of Aikido to come observe or participate. No special equipment is required but we suggest track or sweat pants as some techniques are done when kneeling.
Our first session begins 15 September 2026.
Children (7to 13) classes are at 18:00 - 19:15
Adult classes 19:30 - 20:30
On Tuesdays and Fridays
Sunday:
Children 09:00 - 10:00
Adults. 10:15 - 12:00

In addition to the events of our final night of our training season I was humbled by an unexpected presentation by Allison MacLeod on behalf of PSP CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau of a Service Award. I very much appreciate their recognition.

Last night marked the end of our training season. I was honoured to recognize the dedicated commitment to Aikido training of Aliyah Thibault.
Unfortunately her Dad is being posted out of Ottawa. As Chief Instructor of Uplands Aikido - Koshinkan Dojo
I speak for all our members who were involved in Aliyah's training "You will be missed"
As a token for to remember us by Aliyah was presented with a Boken, Koshydojo hat and T shirt.

Just a reminder to everyone Uplands Aikido, Koshinkan Dojo will not have any classes Good Friday, 3 April or Easter Sunday, 5 April. Enjoy your weekend with family and friends. Classes will resume Tuesday, 7 April.

Something to mark in your calendar. Chris Johnson Sensei Aikido clinics are always worth attending. I definitely plan on going. Hope to see you on the mats.
