Bushtukah Group Rides Bushtukah Westboro, Orleans and Stittsville Group Rides We are a non drop ride.

We have a weekly ride from Stittsville. *Weather permitting

5607 Hazeldean Rd location (Stittsville)
When: Tuesday’s starting at 6pm (Late April - early/mid Sept, weather permitting)
Where: Bushtukah’s store parking lot
Duration: Distance will be between 25-45km, speed is determined buy ability level of the group for that week. Requirements:
•ability/confidence to ride in a group, no worries if y

ou are a beginner! We are happy to help you learn if this is your first time.
•basic knowledge of changing a tire and the mechanic’s of your bike is an asset.
•carry needed tools for changing a flat (tube, tire levers, pump/co2, patch kit)
•bring water and or nutrition as needed to complete the ride
•emergency contact information (road id or something similar, even a note in your pocket)
•it is also strongly recommended to bring a mobile phone, some cash and your health card in case of emergency.
•road bikes only, no aero bars. The riding position of a bike with aero bars can be unsafe in a group ride, especially when together on a bike path. Many aero bar setups keep your hands away from your brakes, this aggressive riding position makes it difficult to react quickly in an emergency situation.
•must wear a helmet
•front/rear light (required half hour after sunrise, before sunset) and bell, horn or gong(it’s true, but we don’t have gong’s for sale and also don’t recommend them for a road bike)
•riders must obey all traffic regulations

Come join us Tuesday evening for the next Bushtukah Stittsville/Kanata B Group shop ride!

⏰ Meet at 5:45 PM | Wheels rolling at 6:00 PM
📏 Approx. 55 km (~2 hours)
⚡ B Group pace: 30–32 km/h

We’ll continue working on group riding skills — smooth rotations, holding a steady line, clear signalling, safe spacing, and riding efficiently together. Great fitness, great company, and a great way to sharpen the skills that make group rides smoother and safer for everyone. 🙌

The planned route is posted below, expect a solid, fun ~50 km evening ride of about 2 hours. We will avoid construction on Terry Fox.

A note on pace: this is a 30–32 km/h group ride, so please make sure you’re comfortable sustaining that pace in a group. We’ll ride together, communicate clearly, and keep it safe and positive.

Returning regulars and new shop ride riders are welcome — come out, meet the crew, and enjoy a great Tuesday evening on the bike.

In this S.W.E.E.T Group Ride Program, we're taking your everyday ride from good to great! Whether you’re brand new to cycling or already riding regularly, this program is designed to help you ride with more confidence and enjoyment.

Together, we’ll explore the ins and outs of building a strategic ride, where you’ll learn practical tips that can make every ride feel smoother, stronger, and more rewarding, no matter your experience level! This program will run every Monday from June-August; in the first three lessons we'll develop strategy and from there on out we will put those strategies to the test!

Commit to your ride this summer and learn with a group of wonderful ladies! This programs only requires you to sign up once, and we'll take care of the rest! With only 9 seats available spots are limited, so this is your chance to sign up today!

Whether your goal is fitness, adventure, confidence on the bike, or simply finding a fun group to ride with, this S.W.E.E.T Group Ride is for you. Come ride, learn, and grow with us; everyone is welcome!

🚴‍♂️ Orleans Saturday Long Rides Are Back! 🚴‍♀️
Join us as our Saturday morning long rides return, starting June 6 and repeating every three weeks throughout the season.

Ride Details
📍 Start Location: Orleans Store
🕗 Meet: 8:00–8:05 AM
🚲 Rollout: 8:15 AM sharp
📏 Distance: 40–60 km (distance may increase later in the season based on group interest)
⚡ Pace: 25–30 km/h

Routes will vary from ride to ride but will always start from the Orleans store. The route file will be uploaded to the Orleans Strava Club before each ride for anyone who would like it on their bike computer.

Riders should be self-sufficient and prepared for the distance. A bike technician will be on the ride to assist with flat repairs if needed.

Please note that due to the longer distance and faster pace, this is not a no-drop ride. However, we aim to keep the group together as a cohesive bunch within the stated pace range.
First-time participants should arrive early to complete a waiver before the ride.
We look forward to seeing you out on the road!

Come join us in Stittsville for a ride.

After what feels like the longest, coldest, rainiest spring in recent memory, we are FINALLY rolling out for our first group shop ride of 2026! 🎉

📅 Tuesday, June 2nd 6pm
📍 Bushtukah Stittsville/Kanata
⏰ Meet at 5:45 | Wheels rolling at 6:00 PM

We’re kicking things off with a B Group ride — a relaxed, no-drop cruise at around 30 km/h over a ~45 km route (to be posted later today). Perfect pace to shake off the winter legs, soak in some long-overdue sunshine, and remember why we do this. 😄

There will also be A Group and C Group options for more spicy or mellow options.

This is a great opportunity to:
✅ Work on your group riding skills (drafting, signalling, holding a line)
✅ Build fitness in good company
✅ Meet new riders and reconnect with familiar faces

A note on pace: No-drop means no one gets left behind — but please make sure you can comfortably sustain ~30 km/h before joining. It’ll be a better ride for everyone! 🙌

Whether you’re a returning regular or thinking about joining a shop ride for the first time — come on out! The more the merrier.
