SCORE Tennis is proud to announce that our official outdoor training base for the 2026 summer and fall season will be Blackburn Hamlet Tennis Club.

From June through October, SCORE athletes will train and compete in one of Ottawa’s strongest outdoor hard-court environments as we continue building a standards-driven pathway for serious junior development.

This partnership provides our athletes with:
• High-quality outdoor hard-court training
• Expanded competitive and match-play opportunities
• Structured summer and fall programming
• A consistent high-performance culture throughout the outdoor season

We’re excited to align with a club that has a strong reputation within the Ottawa tennis community and shares a commitment to player development and competitive excellence.

SCORE Tennis Academy is launching a Saturday AND Sunday morning high performance group in May & June.(Start May 23)

What's included:
9:00AM - 12:00PM Tennis training both days
Sunday 1:00-2:00PM Fitness session with a dedicated fitness coach

Gym walk-in fee included
Small group: maximum 3 players only

Where: Forest Valley, Orleans
Investment: $310/week

This program is for competitive junior players ages 11-14 who are serious about their development this summer.

Coached by a team that has produced ATP, WTA, national players, ITF champions (WD) and NCAA scholarship athletes over 18 years.

Something we’ve been looking at closely at SCORE…

Why do we assume that more tournaments = better development?

Most junior players are competing almost every weekend. They’re active, they’re busy—but are they actually improving?

When you really look at it:

• Many matches aren’t at the right level
• There’s little feedback between competitions
• Players often repeat the same patterns over and over

So the question becomes:

Is it possible that playing more is actually slowing development?

We’re starting to rethink how competition should be used in junior tennis—especially for players aiming at higher levels.

Join us for a chance to compete in the Co-ed level based division. This tournament is open to all players 7.5-10.5 UTR single elimination.

The format may vary based on the division size.

Scoring: Fast four with add super tie breaker 10 in lieu of third set.

Warmup: All players will receive a 5-minute warmup before each match. All matches are filmed and provided at no charge to the players.

No refunds 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
