Ottawa Swans Australian Football Club The Ottawa Swans are an Australian rules football club based in Ottawa, Canada.

We have both a mens and womens team that compete in the Ontario league, one of the biggest leagues outside of Australia The club is notable as being the first and currently only Australian rules football club to represent the city of Ottawa. To this day, the club continues to compete in the Ontario Australian Football League in both the Men's and Women's Division 1 competitions. HISTORY
Founded in

2006, the Ottawa Swans Australian Football Club played 3 exhibition games in 2007 before becoming a full registered, competitive club in 2008. It entered the Ontario Australian Football League as a member team in 2008, playing home games on a pitch built in the infield of the Rideau Carleton Raceway in Ottawa's south end. The inaugural team of the Ottawa Swans Australian Football Club was led on the field by Captain Steve Spurrell and coached by Richard Keane, who both served as player/coaches.

A tough day on the road as the Swans went down to the Toronto Dingos.

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take away, with the squad showing determination and effort right to the final siren.

We’ll regroup, get back to work at training, and turn our attention to next week’s challenge.
