๐ŸŽ‰June, we've made it๐Ÿƒit's also our Birthday month๐ŸŽ‰
Next week is our 4th BIRTHDAY ๐ŸŽ‰Trivia and ๐ŸŽ‚Wed June 24th!!! along with Prizes!!!

The 5k route for June has turned into a 6.5k loop so we get more traily shady run time. Wednesday currently looks a little wet, so we will monitor throughout the day and may make the decision to use our summer rain route (around Bruce Pitt) depending on how the afternoon looks.

6.5km route: Starts out the same as May's route, but instead of going left in the forest, we will go right. We will do a short loop before West Hunt Club Road. This is a 6.5km route, those who prefer a shorter route, please cut it short as needed. There will be signage out guiding runners, for the forested section of the route.

Sunday Long Run Route, meet at 10am, we have a lovely trail run for June's Sunday Long Run route. We will get some reprieve from the sun with lots of shade through the forest and trails.

16k trail route: Itโ€™s going to start out similar to the Wednesday routes, but continue through the Jack Pine trails, across Moodie Drive, past the Lime Kiln ruins, to Bridlewood, and back on trails to the East of Bells Corners. See you at 10am.

Please download the map so you know where to go, or run with your phone so you can find your way back. As always, feel free to run your own route, or start at a later time. Due to the distance of these runs, make sure to bring water and fuel (energy gel/bar/any carbs) on your run. You should be consuming between 30-60g carbs per hour of running.

We had a lovely and warm Global Running Day on June 3rd. It was wonderful to celebrate running, movement, being active and just all around running no matter how fast or slow you are with all of you! ...even if we forgot to say it at the beginning of the run. It was beautiful out and wonderful to get a bit more into the trails this month and out of the sun!

Thank you to this week for picking up the signs afterwards and hurrah for the summer weather!

We are looking for volunteers to pick up signs at the end of our runs. Each time you volunteer your name gets put in a draw that we will draw from at the end of the summer. If no one volunteers we won't be able to continue putting out signs for the summer trails.
