They will fall. That’s the whole point.
We spend so much of parenthood trying to protect our kids from failure. Gymnastics gently, lovingly disagrees with that instinct. In the gym, falling isn’t a setback, it’s the curriculum. Every tumble off the beam, every skill that doesn’t land, every frustrating practice is woven into the process on purpose. Kids learn in their bones, not just their heads, that they can fall and get back up. That they can struggle and still succeed. That their worth isn’t tied to whether they got it right the first time. If you could bottle that lesson and give it to your child, you would. Gymnastics does exactly that.
