Bataireacht and Historical Fencing Faction BAHFF is a school teaching Historical fencing (longsword, broadsword and sabre) as well as traditional Bataireacht (Irish stick) of the Antrim Bata style.

Our school is located in downtown Ottawa.

That’s another 2 events in the bag!

Thank you to everyone for making this weekend such a success, from our volunteers to everyone who participated! We hope you all can join us at our next event - Frost on the Blade on August 8 & 9, 2026. Please keep an eye on our socials and the Ontario HEMA Community Discord for updates.

Happy New year everyone!

Our schedule for 2026, beginning on Saturday the 3rd of January:

Longsword - Saturdays from 1-3PM at the Routhier Community Center
Irish Stick Fighting - Tuesdays from 7-9PM at the Bronson Center
Sabre - Thursdays from 7-9PM at the Bronson Center
