Join us in welcoming our newest recruit to the Kainos family, Zion Monroe, a 6’4” wing from Calgary, Alberta!
Zion brings a combination of athleticism, physicality, and versatility to the program. A high-flying wing who can elevate above the rim, Zion is at his best attacking the basket, using his strength and explosiveness to get downhill and finish through contact.
A true two-way player, Zion is also a strong defender who takes pride in making an impact on both ends of the floor. His physicality, athleticism, and ability to guard multiple positions make him a tough matchup and a valuable piece for the program.
“I chose this program because I’m looking for something different and I want to experience what basketball is like in another city. I also chose Kainos because of the amazing coaching staff and the opportunities the program can provide me, especially when it comes to playing basketball at the post-secondary level. I feel like this is a great opportunity for me to grow as a player, challenge myself, and take the next step in my basketball journey.”
