Hey Friends . Let’s get ready for tryouts!!

Im going to run a pre try out skate if we have enough interest in Port Perry. 20 skaters max . Rep Age 8-14

Here are my pre try out dates.

Scugog Community Recreation Centre

Thursday april 11 th 7:45-9:15
Tuesday April 16 7:45-9:15
Wednesday April 17 6:00-8:00
Thursday. April 18 7:45 -9:15

$325 for 4 skates !!

Uxbridge community centre for the following week

Like always Things I’ll be working on..... shooting , edge work, puck protection , stick handling , down low trick plays, lengthening their stride, slowing down and showing a perfect cross over , conditioning , body contact etc etc.

I’m super disappointed I can’t see one of my all time fav’s tonight concert. Ludacris at Casino Rama tonight at 8pm. I have 3 wicked tickets 4th row center. Any wants them I will tranfer them to you. I’ll even try and get you the 3 tshirts I bought!!

A lot of time we work on drills coaches don’t have time to do in a practice! Worked on picking up the puck off the boards in one motion on the fly. And posting up as wingers would do in their own zone. But obviously this works in the O-zone too!! “Own the boards”. As the drill went on the faster and faster the boys went! Great job! I’ll post some more great picks of the rest of the kids threw out the week and weekend! Great job today fellas! See you tomorrow!! Pizza and gates during the break!!!

With the season around the corner!!

Attitude matters, work ethic matters, Being a good teammate matters!

Did you know that Coach Saban left one of his most talented players standing on the sideline for most of the game? Why would he do that? Because attitude matters. Work ethic matters. Being a good teammate matters. Doing things the right way matters. That young man learned more about life last night than he would have had he played every play. FYI, this picture was tweeted by the young man’s father, with the caption “awesome picture.” He gets it.
