Step into the world of Argentine Tango with a class built specifically for absolute beginners of every age right here in Durham Region. No experience, and no special attire required. No partner? No worries! You can come solo. Everyone in the room is starting exactly where you are.

Not a beginner but you still want to try? You can still join, but remember to be considerate with the rest of the beginner dancers.

Our monthly Ballroom Social Night brings you, your besties, and your family together through dance and music! You can come solo—no partner or experience needed. Either way, you’re here to dance, glide across the floor, and meet new friends.

Today it’s all about the spine. 🎯 (and the selfie stick)

Watch Omar break down the key to locking in this position:
❌ Avoid: Standing with your weight split evenly on both legs. Omar demonstrates this with the selfie stick held to the center of his body.

✅ Engage Your Spine: Purposely shift your weight over to your right side. Selfie stick to the right.

✨ The Finish: Keep your left leg and toe pointed outward and down to the floor.

Repetition builds muscle memory—keep practicing!

Fall is right around the corner—can you feel it? The final stretch of summer is here, let’s swing into the new season together!

Your next Ballroom Social Night is happening this Friday, August 7th, and Swing is taking center stage! Whether you’re stepping onto the floor for the first time or looking to refine your rhythm, we’re turning up the heat as we say bye bye to summer, and getting the whole room moving.

Bring your friends, your family, or come solo—our studio family rotates throughout the night, so you’ll never dance alone. No experience needed. No dress code. Just incredible music, great energy, and a room full of people you love all aiming for one thing — just having blast!

Doing the Reverse Cross-Body Lead with an inside turn (AKA The Omar)

We try to keep it light and fun when we do these lessons, but oh boy. This move had some very interesting turns! But our one and only amazing Omar is always able to guide students to the finish line.
