Founded in 2000 The Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame has honoured more than 120 teams, athletes and builders in the greater Oromocto area.

The Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame is located in the Hazen Park Centre, 994 Onondaga Street, Oromocto, NB.

The Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame is powered by a passionate group of volunteers who believe in recognizing and preserving the incredible achievements of athletes, teams, and builders in our community.

We are always looking for new faces to join our committee, whether you have skills in communications, event planning, fundraising, or simply a love of local sports, there is a place for you.

Since 2000, we have proudly honoured the individuals and teams who have brought distinction to Oromocto and the surrounding area, and we could not do it without dedicated volunteers like you.

Get involved in any capacity:
• Help with events and induction ceremonies
• Support communications and social media
• Assist with fundraising or outreach
• Share your ideas and energy with our team

No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and community spirit.

Congratulations to Bill Jarratt, former Director of the Town of Oromocto Recreation & Tourism Department, on his recent accolades.

In October, Bill received the 𝐉𝐢𝐦 𝐅𝐨𝐱 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 from Recreation NB / Loisirs N.-B. Their awards celebrate leaders and community members whose dedication continues to strengthen recreation in New Brunswick. Recipients inspire others and help build active, inclusive, and connected communities across the province.

Bill was also recently inducted into the Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame in the 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 for his role in developing programs including founding the Oromocto & Area Basketball Association.

The Oromocto and Area Sports Wall of Fame selection committee, chaired by Allen Murray, has chosen 5 nominees for induction in 2025.

Today we celebrate the Team Category featuring the Oromocto High School Blues 1970-1971.

The Blues have many endeavours which make them a good nominee for induction including represented Oromocto at the International High School Hockey Tournament in Copper Cliff Ont. Join us in celebrating the Team's induction on Nov. 08, 2025 at the Burton Lions Club and hear about many more of their accolades.

The OASWOF committee is please to congratulate the recipients of the 2025 Oromocto High School Bursary

Two wonderful OHS student ambassadors were selected to receive the award this year due to their remarkable athletic talents and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Mackenzie Clark-Barrieau in your future pursuits.

Congrats to Mason Cadegan-Syms as you go on to pursue Kin Science at UNB.

Dean Grattan, OASWOF Committee Member and OHS Teacher presented the award on behalf of the Board.
