Most Valuable Players of the Year – Maddox Evong & Nathan Boyd
The first MVP is an offensive threat no matter where he was on the ice if the puck was on his stick or within striking distance. His ability to be a 2-way player was exemplified every game, playing equally as hard in his own zone. He was a leader, fulfilling the duties as the assistant captain for the past 2 years. He would often frustrate the other team with his tough play and ability to generate offensive opportunities. He truly loves to win and was the MVP of the Green and Gold Tournament and Top Scorer of the team this year.
The second MVP this year is your Captain. A true leader is someone that earns the respect of those around them, and this is exactly what he did through his abilities. Although he had a year that he would love to have back due to injuries and illness, no one wanted to win more than him this season as he maintained a strong character and positivity throughout. He played and pushed his body at every chance he was afforded. On the ice he dictated the play and would set the tone for others to emulate, finding the open ice and creating scoring opportunities each time he crossed the opposing team’s blue line.
Both their abilities will be missed next year!
