“Well this completes the first full season since the pandemic and it was great to see a full schedule with lots of games/tournaments and the reintroduction of the U16 division. Ahead of the AGM, we wanted to release a statement as ORA and RNB have been made aware of a rumor that is circulating and it’s origin, that ORA will be merging with FYRA next season. We want to assure you that is not the case – ORA will remain its own association. This past season has seen an increase of 27% in registrations. From a smaller association, that is incredible. We are currently in negotiations for more ice times and have had a quite a few parents step up, willing to volunteer next season to ensure another successful year. If you would like to address something before the AGM, please direct your questions or concerns to [email protected].

AGM
April 18th 6-8pm

WOW what a season! There were a few downs with the losses of a few board members but oh so many highs. We saw 7 teams, the first U16/19 in quite a few years and our highest ORA numbers of 85 girls out on the ice loving ringette.
From Sherry Knight-Ferguson, Karla Whitten and myself (Johanna McIntyre) thank you coaches for your dedication, time, encouragement and love of the sport to volunteer for these young people.
Managers thank you for all your behind the scenes hard work so your coaches to focus on the girls. And parents thank you for driving your girls every weekend to practice or game and supporting them.
We are looking forward to next season. My deepest hope is that you all return for a new year and a new Oromocto Ringette.

Here’s a couple of pictures of a few awesome coaches playing ringette this morning. What a great time. Thank you coaches.
