RESPECT OUR VOLUNTEERS 💙⭐
East Ottawa Girls Hockey is powered by volunteers.
Coaches, managers, trainers, team staff, board members, den moms, tournament volunteers and so many others give their time, energy and countless evenings and weekends to create opportunities for our girls to play, grow and love the game.
They are parents, professionals and community members balancing busy lives, and they choose to give their time for one reason: our athletes.
We know that hockey can bring strong emotions, questions and differing opinions. Respectful conversations are always welcome. Yelling, swearing, intimidation, threats, personal attacks or belittling behaviour toward volunteers are not.
Respect is not optional.
Before sending that email, making that call or reacting in frustration, remember there is another person on the receiving end who has volunteered their time to help make hockey possible.
To every person who coaches, manages, organizes, supports, leads and steps up when help is needed:
Your efforts matter. Your time is valued. Your commitment is appreciated. Thank you. 💙
