We want to take a moment to celebrate one of our members who has officially lost 100 lbs since joining CrossFit. Jessica, we are so proud of your hard work and dedication. Not just for the results, but for sticking with it, setting and achieving goals, and challenging yourself every step of the way. We asked Jessica some questions about her journey:
âI lost 100 pounds, but what I gained at CFO was even more valuable: strength, confidence, friendship, and belief in myself.â

How long have you been a member at CFO?
I joined CFO in January 2025, but Iâve worked with Kat on and off since 2017. I knew firsthand her passion, knowledge, and ability to meet people exactly where they are in their journeyâalways with compassion and zero judgment. She helped me get started, but the community is what kept me coming back. Being able to bring my kids removed one of my biggest barriers, and seeing results from a calorie deficit combined with strength training gave me the motivation to keep going. Every few months, I surprisingly notice something new: I can run farther, lift heavier, move faster, and push harder than I could before. My strength, endurance, confidence, and courage continue to grow. What started as a workout became something much bigger. It helps me manage the stress of raising three young children while balancing family, friendships, work, and everything else life throws my way. At this point, I donât go to the gym because I feel like itâI go because itâs part of who I am. Some days I show up forgetting I technically have free will and donât actually have to do 50 burpees. But I always leave grateful that I showed up. Thatâs enough for me.
Whatâs a goal youâve hit since joining that youâre proud of?
Iâve lost 100 pounds and maintained it. Along the way, Iâve gained strength, confidence, friendships, and a version of myself I wasnât sure Iâd ever meet.
What would you say to someone whoâs been thinking about joining but hasnât taken the leap yet?
Bring a friend. Try a class. Commit to one month, then three. It might just change your lifeâit changed mine. The mom community here is unlike anything Iâve ever experi
