This course is designed for participants aged 16 and up who have completed Tandem Level 3. You’ll experience everything from Tandem 1-3, but this time solo in a canoe. Gain the skills necessary to confidently maneuver a canoe on your own, refining your paddling technique and enhancing your tandem skills and efficiency.

Tandem Levels 1-3
No prior canoe certifications are required! This one-day course is tailored for ages 16 and up, offering the opportunity to achieve up to ORCKA Level 3 certification and prepare you for the Level 4 Solo course.

Learn essential skills in both the bow and stern positions of a canoe, including basic maneuvers, a variety of paddle strokes, water safety, equipment selection, rescue techniques, and portaging.

Solo Level 4
This course is designed for participants aged 16 You'll experience everything from Tandem 1-3, but this time solo in a canoe. Gain the skills necessary to confidently maneuver a canoe on your own, refining your paddling technique and enhancing your tandem skills and efficiency.

It was a wet Solo Sunday! But they all pushed through the weather and passed all the skills for ORCKA Basic level 4 Solo! They all came prepared with layers, rain gear and a positive attitude! Funny enough going in the lake at the end was warmer than the air!
