🏀🥈 SILVER MEDALISTS AND FOREVER CHAMPIONS 🥈🏀
What a weekend for our U15 Girls Spartans Basketball Team at the Ontario Cup Provincial Championships. The Spartans went undefeated all weekend leading into the Gold Medal Final and competed with heart, toughness, and pride every single game.
In the final against Thunder Bay, this team showed what true competitors are made of. Down by 21 points, the girls refused to quit. They locked in defensively, attacked the basket, pushed the pace, and fought their way back into the game possession by possession. Even though the game ended with a silver medal, the effort and resilience this team showed was something special to watch.
A champion is not only measured by a final score. A champion is a teammate who shows up every day, works hard for the person beside them, stays together through adversity, and competes until the final buzzer. This team did exactly that all season long.
What makes this group so special is not just the basketball they played, but the bond they built with one another. These girls became a family this season and that connection showed every time they stepped on the court.
A huge thank you to all of the parents for the nonstop support throughout the entire season. Your encouragement, commitment, and belief in this team helped make this season such a success.
Coaches Carrissa and Maddie could not be prouder of this group of athletes and young women. Thank you girls for an unforgettable season and for representing Spartans Basketball with so much heart and class. 🏀❤️🎉
