Movement & Exercise Psychotherapy™, a new way to experience therapy. ✨

Movement & Exercise Psychotherapy™ is a new approach that combines movement, exercise, and evidence-based psychotherapy to support mental health, emotional well-being, confidence, resilience, and personal growth.

We work with many individuals who feel that traditional “sit and talk” therapy doesn’t fully fit for them, including first responders, neurodivergent individuals, children and youth, and people who simply feel more comfortable moving rather than sitting still for an hour.

For some people, movement helps conversations flow more naturally. It can help with emotional regulation, stress reduction, confidence, body awareness, and feeling more grounded and connected.

Sessions may include:
• Strength and conditioning exercises
• Functional movement
• Walking or treadmill-based sessions
• Mind-body awareness work and stretching
• Goal setting and confidence-building
• Emotional processing through movement

No athletic experience is needed. MEP™ is adapted to the individual and designed to meet people where they are.

If you’ve ever felt like traditional therapy wasn’t quite your style, this may be something different worth exploring. You can always try a session and see how it feels for you.

Summer Skills Program for Kids & Teens!
Movement & Exercise Psychotherapy™

Looking for something meaningful to support your child or teen this summer?

This June to August, we are offering a 10-session Movement & Exercise Psychotherapy™ (MEP™) package designed to help kids and teens build emotional regulation, confidence, and coping skills in an engaging, movement-based environment.

Unlike traditional seated therapy, MEP™ combines psychotherapy with movement and strength-based activities to help young people regulate emotions, manage stress, and develop practical tools they can use at home, at school, and in daily life.

This program may be a good fit for kids who struggle with:

• ADHD or difficulty focusing
• anxiety or worry
• emotional regulation
• frustration tolerance
• confidence and self-esteem

Sessions are 1:1 and provided by a Registered Psychotherapist, which means they may be eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefits.

June - August

First Meet. First Win. Qualified for Centrals!

Huge congratulations to Wes Wes Harcourt on an incredible performance at his meet! 💪

In his first powerlifting competition ever, Wes went 8 for 9 on the platform, showing exactly what disciplined training and preparation look like. 🏋️‍♂️

Competition Bests:
Squat - 237 kg
Bench - 176.3 kg
Deadlift - 363.7 kg
Total - 777.1 kg

The only missed attempt of the day came on bench after the bar touched the face savers, not due to strength or technique.

To make the performance even more impressive, Wes was dealing with a muscle tear just a few weeks out from the meet, managed his prep carefully, and still delivered when it counted.

The result:
Qualified for Centrals (August)

For a first meet, that’s the kind of composure and ex*****on most lifters work years to achieve. Proud to have Wes representing Scorrybreac Barbell on the platform.

Next stop: Centrals!
