Strings may look perfect, UNTIL, a string breaks, and you can get a horizontal view of the grooves in them. This racquet was from a customer who said it was just his first hit out, when the strings broke. After seeing the "evidence", it tells me that approximately 50% of the string has worn through. Which to some players, is completely normal. Strings could actually wear out in hours, depending on the style of play (velocity, spin, the surface).

Very highly rated string that will generate lots of spin. 16 & 17 gauge, or for maximum spin, the hybrid boasts 17g mains and 18g crosses. Tension should be set roughly 3-5 lbs higher than what you’re after, because of the tension loss.
