Skydive West Edmonton is excited to offer an Introduction to Main Parachute Packing Course hosted by Steve!

Whether you’re working toward your A CoP requirements, want a better understanding of your equipment, or simply want to become more knowledgeable, this course is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a small-group setting.

📅 Available Dates:
• June 11
• June 25

⏰ 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

💰 $50 per person

👥 Limited to 2–4 participants per class

⚠️ This is an introductory packing course focused on learning proper techniques, understanding your equipment, and building confidence in the packing process. While it can help you work toward your A CoP packing endorsement, participants will not complete all required pack jobs during this course.

NOW HIRING: DROP ZONE MANIFEST

Skydive West Edmonton is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Drop Zone Manifest to support daily flight and ground operations at our drop zone.

This is a key operational role responsible for coordinating customers, staff, aircraft loads, and daily scheduling while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.

Position Details:
• Seasonal, part-time position with opportunity for additional hours during peak season
• Thursday–Monday schedule, weekends required
• Based in Onoway, AB

Key Responsibilities:
• Customer check-in and front-desk operations
• Aircraft load management and manifest coordination
• Handling waivers, payments, and basic administration
• Communication with pilots, instructors, packers, and ground staff
• Providing clear updates regarding timing, weather, and operations

Qualifications:
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to remain calm in a fast-paced, weather-dependent environment
• Comfortable using basic computer and POS systems
• Prior aviation, dispatch, front desk, or manifest experience is an asset

Skydiving experience is not required — training will be provided

May 2 at 12:00 PM, SWE will be hosting a Sigma Tandem Master Safety Seminar to help kick off the 2026 season.

The seminar is open to all Sigma-rated Tandem Masters and will include a review of emergency procedures, equipment systems, seasonal expectations, and any SOP or Sigma updates heading into the season.

Following the seminar, tandem recurrency jumps will take place weather permitting.

For those unable to attend in person, there will also be an online option available. Please reach out for the Teams link.

Skydive West Edmonton is holding a series of Safety Days ahead of the 2026 season!

Instructor seminars, refresher days, and licensed jumper safety days are scheduled to help ensure everyone is current, prepared, and ready for the season ahead.

Whether returning after the winter season, preparing for student operations, or looking for a refresher before opening weekend, these days are intended to review procedures, discuss updates, and ensure a strong safety mindset heading into the season.

Additional information regarding schedules, and start times for each day will be released soon, stay tuned!
