Judo is a martial art and Olympic sport. The sport side of judo competition does not allow punching or kicking (although we do teach these techniques), so it is an ideal combat sport for kids.

Kokoro Judo Club is a not for profit club, which teaches the martial art of judo to kids and adults. Classes range from beginners to experts, and recreational to competitive. Beginner classes are designed for all fitness levels.
Our Core Classes Start in September 2022

6-8 Year Olds:
Monday and Wednesday young kids 6 to 8, 5:pm to 5:45pm. $50+ month, family discounts apply. Plus Judo BC fees: $100/year

9-13 Year Olds:
Monday and Wednesday kids 9 to 13, 6:pm to 7:pm. Approximately $50/ month, family discounts apply. Plus, Judo BC fees: +/- $100/year

14+
Monday and Wednesday Ages 14+ and adults. 7:pm - 8:30pm
Approximately $60/ month, family discounts apply. Plus, Judo BC fees: +/- $100/year.

Beginner Classes:
Tuesday 7:15pm to 8:15pm 13+ and adults, beginners only. Cost: Approximately $60/ month, family discounts apply. Plus Judo BC fees: +/- $100/year

(All classes are mix, except the women's only self defence.)

Women's Only Self-Defense (Girl's and Women 13+)
Thursday 7:30 to 8:30 Women's only self-defense. Cost: Adults, $175 Teens $150

Our core classes are:
Monday and Wednesday kids 9 to 13, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Approximately $50/ month, family discounts apply. Plus, Judo BC fees: +/- $100/year

Kokoro judo club was established in 1996 and has been in continuous operation since then. The club has produced 16 black belts, several Canadian national mentalists, and one judoka from our club competed internationally with Judo Canada and the National team.

Our Core Classes are:
Monday and Wednesday Ages 14+ and adults. Approximately $60/ month, family discounts apply. Plus Judo BC fees: +/- $100/year.

Judo has two main principles:
Mutual benefit to all participants, and using techniques with maximum efficiency. Judo is around the world, and nearly every small town in BC has a club.

Kokoro Judo club has three certified black belt instructors, is fully insured and is a member of Judo BC and Judo Canada. Kokoro Judo Club was established in 1996 and has been in continuous operation since then.
