Open water swimming is officially open for the season at Meech Lake! Leamy Lake will open in June due to high water levels (date to be confirmed).

Open water swimming is permitted in areas marked by buoys, starting at O'Brien (P11) and Blanchet (P13) beaches from mid-May to mid-October.

A few things to keep in mind:

⚠️ Swim at your own risk
👀 For your safety, you must wear a fluorescent swim cap or swim buoy
🤫 Quiet hours at Meech Lake are from 9 pm to 7 am
⛔ Private property is off-limits

Remember: open water is physically demanding. Make sure you’re confident swimming in deep, cold water.
