Here is an update on two of our former teammates:

Cailen Knopp has joined Team Libbus and has an exciting year ahead on "The road to Sweden". Please check out the Team Libbus page for more information and to follow Cailen.

Michael Steele is aging out of U-18 this year and will be attending the University of Lethbridge this fall studying Engineering. Michael hopes to be a member of the University curling team.

We want to thank you all for following and supporting our team, and give a special thanks to Andy and Moe for everything they do with the U21 Centre at the Winter Club. Our team disbanded in early March, and we are each going our own way next season. We will update our page with new information soon so please check back for more details about our players.

We had a good weekend of curling as we went 3-1 in districts to qualify for Southerns. Congratulations to all the teams that qualified this weekend, we are looking forward to playing you in February.

Curling: Team Knopp takes Okotoks U18 title

We had a solid weekend of curling and went undefeated to win the Okotoks U18 bonspiel. We would like to thank the bonspiel coordinator Atina Johnston, all the volunteers, and the Okotoks Curling Club for this great event.

Just a quick update on the weekend... We went 2-0 today in Okotoks to be A1 qualifiers and our next game is in the quarterfinals, Sunday at 8:30 am.

Next up for our team is the Okotoks U18 bonspiel, which is also the hometown of both our skip and third. We're looking forward to a great weekend of curling on home ice!

We've played in two bonspiels since our last update and would like to thank both the Leduc Curling Club and the Airdrie Curling Club for hosting the AJCT events. We had a couple of solid games in Leduc to keep us in the "A" division but lost to Team Sturmay in the quarter finals. Airdrie held a great spiel as usual and we made it to the "B" final against Team Tae Hyeok Lee from Korea. It was a good game and it went into an extra end but our opposition took the winning point with hammer. Thank you to all the teams we've played over the last couple of weeks... We've had some great challenges and made new friends along the way!

So we have another bonspiel under our belt... We didn't get the results we wanted but thank you to the Red Deer Elks and the Pidherney Centre for hosting this past weekend's AJCT Bonspiel. We are looking forward to playing in Red Deer again in the future.

We are also looking forward to playing in the Junior Grand Slam in Okotoks, which is up next or our team. We are one of four teams invited to play in the event, on arena ice, and with a celebrity curler mentor... it will be an amazing opportunity for our team.

Thank you North Hill Curling Club, for the 20th annual Thanksgiving bonspiel this past weekend. It was a great spiel and we were happy to come in as the "A" runner ups. Thank you to all the teams we played, and to Harrison MacKinnon for filling in as our second.
