Welcome to the USA Branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society. We are an active membership looking to promote and educate the Australian Stock Horse Breed here in North America. The Society in Australia was established in 1971 in Scone, New South Wales, which promotes itself as 'the Horse Capital of Australia'. Today the Society is the largest of more than 70 individual horse breed associations

in Australia. The Society has a loyal and growing membership of more than 9,500 individuals and has in excess of 180,000 registered horses. The Society has 58 Branches throughout Australia, one Branch in the United States of America and one Branch in New Zealand. Branches conduct competitions and activities for Members in their area and assist in promoting the breed within the equine industry. The successful performance of the Australian Stock Horse has not only been recognized throughout Australia, but exports to the United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Africa, New Zealand and Asia have given them worldwide recognition. The USA Branch conducts a National Show on an annual basis to emphasize, highlight and record the success of the breed in the competition area. The Society aims to preserve and promote the bloodlines of the Australian Stock Horse, recognized for its versatility and superior performance amongst work and leisure breeds. The Australian Stock Horse Society Board of Directors, endeavors to ensure that the heritage and identity of the Australian Stock Horse continues to gain world wide recognition.

Don’t forget - videos are due this Sunday!!! Australian stock horse or not, we have classes for all🌟

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

The 2025 Virtual Show closing date has been EXTENDED two additional weeks. With the Holidays, traveling and some bad weather already, we are giving extra time to get those videos done. New due date is December 14th. Videos need to be emailed to the USA Branch email.

Remember there are classes for ALL breeds and all ages. Even if you have an ASH and it is not registered, there is a class. The rider/handler just needs to be an ASHS member. We want to give as many people and horses an opportunity to show.

Additionally, the USA Branch is looking for sponsors. If anyone would like to support the Branch please reach out.

Go record those videos, we want to see your horses!!!

2025 Virtual Show entries and video submissions due in 1 week - November 30th! All info was sent out via email and it’s on our website. New classes available this year so make sure to read all the details.

A couple updates:
- Whip cracking is NOT mandatory. In the working pattern it says walk on a loose rein to the judge while cracking a whip. That's an Aussie thing that most of us here in the USA and Canada don't do. There is NO penalty for not whip cracking.
- The dropbox link has been created. Make sure to upload your videos to this link by November 30th. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/of42d9teln98cefayt4sh/AI8_7Ch8suxw0ual5gTz8QM?rlkey=h9yqgrsqv9v0un3ubjytnnbf1&st=ie7cglpf&dl=0
