Oh hi there! I’m Robyn Alford, owner/operator of Tailgate Mercantile Co. I’m so glad to meet you and welcome you to the Tailgate Life!
I love baseball....all things baseball. My bucket list consists of seeing a game at each MLB stadium. I'm slowly chipping away at my list as I plan vacations to purposely adventure to baseball cities across North America. My list stands at the following: Skydome (I will never call it Rogers Centre), Olympic Stadium (Montreal), Wrigley Field, US Cellular (now Guaranteed Rate Field), Tropicana Field, Safeco Field, Petco Park, Dodger Stadium, Busch Stadium, Kauffman Stadium, Great American Ball Park & Nationals Park (but only for a tour). I’ve also attended spring training in AZ and FL and travelled around Iowa to live out my Field of Dreams fantasy. My favourite MiLB parks include Des Moines and the old ballpark in Nashville with the rad guitar scoreboard. Other cool baseball places I’ve visited include the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory and Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
Needless to say, if you stop by the shop, please, pleaseeeee talk baseball with me! I love hearing stories of different places you’ve travelled to, games you’ve seen, etc. If you’re already a baseball fan, you understand that weird little bond we all share. If you’re not a baseball fan, you will be after you talk to me...guaranteed!
