Quick heads up to anyone coming to the gym this Saturday. The Okotoks Parade is moving its route this year and will be taking place 10am-3pm along Milligan Drive and Veterans way.
Planning your trip to the Okotoks Parade and Children’s Festival this Saturday, June 20?
Because the parade is "Movin' and Groovin'" over to a new route along Milligan Drive this year, traffic patterns and parking will look a little different than usual. To ensure a stress-free morning, we highly recommend carpooling, walking, or biking if you live nearby!
A few quick parking tips:
-Be a good neighbour: If you are parking in surrounding residential areas, please ensure you aren't blocking alleyways, driveways, fire hydrants, or intersections.
-Use Okotoks Transit! Free shuttles will be available from the Viking Rentals Centre and Okotoks Municipal Centre starting at 8 a.m. and running until 3 p.m.
-Recreation Centre Access: There are swim lessons and programs as well as the Children’s Festival, so parking in the immediate area will be limited.
