Rock On Collective is a volunteer-led nonprofit committed to making the Okanagan rock climbing community an inclusive space for everyone to explore, grow, and shine as their authentic selves. Our programming serves people of equity-deserving genders including women, people who identify as gender nonconforming, genderqueer, agender, nonbinary, transgender, and other gender minorities.

Join us the day before National Indigenous Peoples Day for a relationship-building workshop that explores local biodiversity (ktɬəɬtan) from a sqilxʷ/syilx (Okanagan) perspective. Activities include paired walks to a waterfall, nqilxʷcn/nsyilxcn language learning and brainstorming how to best help local biodiversity thrive.

Our Anchor Building & Cleaning Course this weekend, guided by Nicole, was so much fun!

We spent the day at Skaha Bluffs learning the basics of anchors, along with pro tips and tricks for sleek, well dressed knots. 🪢

One of our group members had a birthday so there were purple hats taped to our helmets and sweet treats to share among friends ☀️

Last weekend our Rock Rescue course taught participants essential skills for what to do when the unexpected happens.

We spent two days learning rescue techniques that with practice will equip them to safely handle unexpected situations on a multipitch climb.

Thank you to our amazing guide, Ren, for sharing their knowledge and empowering our participants to navigate an emergency.

This past weekend, we took our Mentors out for a full day of fun, refreshing and learning tips and tricks for a successful season. This year we're providing Mentors with more support, more resources and more opportunity to connect with each other. This weekend we hosted our kick off event for the 2026 Climbing Mentorship Program. It was so great to see so many returning faces and meet new participants! We love the community we're building and can't wait to see what goals all the groups crush this year 💪🏻
