Deep South Riding ARena The Deep South Riding Arena is a volunteer run riding arena located in Ogema, SK It was built in 2001 by local members of the Big Muddy Team Roping Association.

Ogema’s Riding Arena is located behind the Recreation Complex past the campgrounds north of Highway 13. It is 150 feet x 300 feet in size and comes equipped with team roping boxes, cattle chutes and holding pens. The arena has a sand bottom and just received new sand in May 2013. There is an announcer’s booth and a shaded area along side the arena for comfortable viewing. The arena hosts many team

roping and barrel racing events throughout the summer months.The Arena is home to the Deep South Barrel racing Association. The Association hosts approxomately 6 events each year...the biggest being the Ogema Barrel Bash in July as well as the Deep South Barrel Racing Finals in September. The local 4H Club and Agricultural Society also use the Arena for their achievement Day and Fair Day. We encourage riders to use the Arena at their leisure. PLease be respectful of the grounds.
