One more sleep. 🤝

Tomorrow — Saturday, October 17 — the Bronte Harbour Classic team will be in Toronto at Your Life, Your Terms with our friends at Rock Star Brokerage.

We were there in April too: a packed room, great conversations, and a lot of people thinking bigger about health, wealth, and life. Plenty of runners found their Father's Day race that day. Rock Star Brokerage has been promoting a healthy lifestyle to its community for years — and they'll be running with us on June 20.

Greg may take the stage to share a little more about what's coming for 2027. If you're at the event, come find our table and say hi — we'd love to meet you.

📅 Sunday, June 20, 2027 — Father's Day, Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.
5K • brand-new 10K • Kids 1K.

🎟️ Registration is open — Early Bird ends Oct 31 (5K/10K $73.05, Kids 1K $51.26):

Some people run from something. Oscar runs toward it.
We asked Oscar Hernandez () why he runs — and what he told us stopped us in our tracks. 2026 was his first-ever race. A full year of training, all leading to that Father's Day start line with 800+ runners beside him.
"Running has helped me grow as a person," he said. "And I hope that one day I can inspire others to do the same."
This is what the Bronte Harbour Classic is about. Not the fastest times — the bravest first steps. 👇
What's your "why"? Tell us in the comments — your story could be the next one we feature. And if you know someone who's been thinking about their first race, tag them. They need to read this.

Happy Thanksgiving from the harbour. 🍂

Today we're thinking about what made year one special — and it's all people.

We're thankful for the 875 runners who trusted a first-year race with their Father's Day morning. For the 130+ kids who sprinted the Kids 1K and went home with medals. For the volunteers who were up before sunrise, cheering before the coffee kicked in. And for the families who turned a race into a gathering.

This was never just a race. It's a team sport — dads and daughters, grandparents and grandkids, neighbours and strangers who became running friends.

📅 Sunday, June 20, 2027 — Father's Day, Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.
5K • brand-new 10K • Kids 1K.

🎟️ Registration is open — Early Bird ends Oct 31 (5K/10K $73.05, Kids 1K $51.26):

Father's Day is a team sport — and this is what ours looks like. 🧡

The Bronte Harbour Classic was never just a race. It's a dad running stride-for-stride with his kid. It's grandparents at the finish line with the loudest cheers of the morning. It's volunteers who treat every runner like family, and a waterfront festival — local food, vendors, music — that keeps the whole crew together until 3 PM.

Last June, 130+ kids crossed the Kids 1K finish line and every one of them went home with a medal. For 2027 we're making it even bigger: a larger Kids Zone, more festival fun, and the same unforgettable morning by the lake.

On Tuesday we stopped by Mercedes-Benz Oakville to say thank you in person. 🏁

We presented an appreciation plaque to Scott Story and his team — our title sponsor believed in this race before there was a finish line to cross. We walked through the inaugural event together: what worked, what we'll improve, and what's already taking shape for 2027.

This is what makes the Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic special. A community race backed by people who genuinely care about this community — and who are already dreaming bigger with us for next Father's Day.

Grateful for this partnership, and excited for what's ahead. More to come. 🙏

The 10K, explained — because so many of you have been asking.

After our sold-out first year, one request came back louder than all the rest: give us a 10K. So we did. Here's what to know:

WHO IT'S FOR — Finished a 5K and hungry for more? This is your natural next step. Same flat, lakeside kilometres, same finish-line festival, twice the bragging rights.

HOW TO STEP UP — If you can run 5K today, you can build to 10K in 8–10 weeks. Keep your easy runs easy and add one longer run each weekend — that's most of the work.

THE ROUTE — We're working with the Town of Oakville to finalise the new 10K course right now. Expect more waterfront along the harbour — and a full route reveal once it's approved.

📅 Sunday, June 20, 2027 — Father's Day, Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.

🎟️ Registration is open — Early Bird ends Oct 31 (5K/10K $73.05, Kids 1K $51.26). Last year sold out:

Proof, not promises.

Year one, by the numbers:

875 runners crossed the finish line of our very first race — a sellout on a flat, waterfront, chip-timed course.

130+ kids sprinted the Kids 1K — and every single one of them went home with a medal.

1,843 race photos. Every one we shot, free for you to download and keep.

So many of you told us it didn't feel like a first-year event. You were right — it was never just ours. It was yours. And year two is going to be bigger: a brand-new 10K, an even bigger festival, and more for the kids.

📅 Sunday, June 20, 2027 — Father's Day, Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.

🎟️ Registration is open, and Early Bird ends Oct 31 (5K/10K $73.05, Kids 1K $51.26):

You asked. We built it. The 10K is officially real. 🏗️

After year one, one request kept coming back louder than all the rest — so we're doing it. A 10K at the Bronte Harbour Classic: more waterfront, flat lakeside kilometres, and the same finish-line festival waiting for you at the end.

📅 Sunday, June 20, 2027 — Father's Day.

🎟️ Registration is open and the lowest price of the year ends Oct 31. Last year sold out at 875 runners — don't watch this one fill up without you:

The shortest race of the day — and the loudest 15 minutes of the morning. 🧡

The Kids 1K is the race nobody stops talking about. In 2026, 130+ kids crossed the finish line and every single one received a medal. Then the Kids Zone took over: jumping castle, face painting, games, and a waterfront festival running 8 AM–3 PM. Bring the grandparents. Bring the stroller. This is a full family morning.
