POV: You came to Barre thinking it would be graceful and elegant…

Then your legs started shaking, your instructor’s 10-second countdown lasted approximately 47 seconds, and you discovered muscles you didn’t know existed. 😂

One of the questions we hear all the time is: “Do I need to be a dancer to do Barre?”

Spoiler alert: absolutely not.

🏃‍♀️ Introducing… The Barre Run Club.

Current membership: 2.
Growth rate: questionable.
Sweat rate: alarming. 🥵

This week, John and I tackled a 5K in what felt like the surface of the sun (30+ degrees 😅). It was my first run back after months away and since my injury, so I started off feeling pretty good…chatting, enjoying the scenery, pretending I was one of those effortless runners.

Fast forward 5K…

John was still crushing it while I was red-faced, overheated, and communicating mostly through heavy breathing and hand gestures. 😂

But hey, every comeback starts somewhere, and I’m calling this one a win.

So if you’ve ever thought about getting back into running, starting from scratch, or just want some company while questioning your life choices in the heat, come join us!

The Barre Run Club is currently accepting applications. Requirements:

Summer can feel like a lot ☀️

Between changing routines, vacations, trying to make memories, and the pressure to somehow “do it all,” what’s meant to feel light can sometimes feel… surprisingly full.

A little reminder I’ve been coming back to lately: summer doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

Sometimes movement looks like class.
Sometimes it’s a walk outside.
And sometimes it’s sitting in the kiddie pool while your kids splash around and deciding that definitely counts as self-care 😂
