Chris will now travel to the 2026 Olympics in Milano Cortina as an alternate push athlete for our two 4 man sleds at the Games. 🛷⠀

Mark 2025 as the year that hopped in the drivers seat of not just the sled, but her bobsleigh career. Kickstarting a new Spanish bobsleigh program and becoming one of the first in the nation’s history to compete in World Champs - her first ever as an athlete in her first year as a pilot!

What a year it’s been! Few truly understand just how much athletes like Leanna invest and sacrifice to chase their dreams. To watch her bet on herself and take head on the endless barrage of challenges that come with being a small nations bobsleigh pilot in her first year driving, to see her show so much grit and determination to make things happen… and then be rewarded for it like this has been extremely special to witness. ⁣

Congrats Leanna. You’ve earned this through and through. So well deserved. Can’t wait to continue the journey. 🛷🇪🇸⁣

In part 2 we look at some of the key technical interventions used to help drop over 0.4s off her 30m time since 2020 as well as match and break two 15 year old Canadian women’s bobsleigh sprint testing records📈: ⁣

30m: 3.85s (Canadian record: 3.85s)⁣⁣
30m fly: 3.23s (old Canadian record: 3.24s)⁣⁣
⁣⁣
For reference, the MEN’S sprint standard to be a part of the Canadian national program is 3.90s. ⁣👀⁣

Above all, the message here is that speed is a skill. It takes a lot of time and a lot of work to get closer to your true speed potential but with 💯 commitment to the process and the right guidance you can get there🔥.⁣
