What an incredible start to the 16 Mile OPA pilot program!

Our very first night went completely smoothly, bringing an amazing community vibe to the courts. There was zero confusion, matches flowed seamlessly, and everyone had a blast. Both our 5 designated OPA courts and the other 5 public courts stayed consistently full with minimal wait times, just great, clean fun for everyone!

A huge thank you to all our volunteers, members, and community players who stepped up to make opening night a massive success. This is what growing pickleball in Oakville is all about.

SIXTEEN MILE PILOT BEGINS THIS WEEK!!
3070 Neyagawa Blvd, Oakville, ON

Our open-play pilot at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex begins on Friday Oct 2 on Courts 6–10.

Pilot sessions will be held throughout October, or as long as weather permits:

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
7:00–11:00 a.m.
6:00–9:00 p.m.

The sessions are free and drop-in for all OPA members; advance registration is not required. Non-OPA members are also welcome to participate, provided each group of four includes at least one current OPA member. Non-members must complete a waiver each time they attend.

Additional volunteers welcome 🤗

Thank you to the members who have already volunteered as player-leads. We would still welcome additional volunteers who can attend one or more sessions and help things run smoothly.

Volunteer player-leads may play during their shifts. Their role is to welcome participants, explain the rotation process, assist with membership and waiver requirements, and help gather information about attendance, court use and wait times.

If you are interested in helping, please contact us at [email protected]. We will provide volunteers with the information and materials they need.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you on the courts!
