Charlie loved sprinting until his last day.
He was one of the most kind, generous
and dedicated coaches around. He wrote “Speed Trap” which chronicles his life as one of the top sprinters in the world and shares in detail countless stories about creating one of the most successful track teams our world has yet to repeat.

Charlie created the Key Concept books for many good reasons. As a former world class sprinter
Coach Charlie Francis was
forced to quit track before he was 25. He was frustrated with the re-insurance career he was encouraged to pursue, moved back into his parents home and began his journey solving parts of his personal puzzle and why learned to understand his “whys”.

Sad news to announce. I’ll be away for a few days as I’m undergoing bypass surgery tomorrow then will have a fairly long recovery period. I have an artery 99% blocked. I bit stressed out as my father had the same surgery and passed away a week later. I do have a beautiful wife and two awesome kids that will give me strength through the process. I will do my best to get back to answering your questions ASAP.
