What a day at Canlan Sports – North Shore! 🏒⛸️☀️

Our Open House brought the North Shore community together for a day full of fun on and off the ice, from free Stick & Puck and public skating to shooting challenges, a bouncy castle, Zamboni photos, and 200+ hot dogs served! 🌭

A huge thank you to North Vancouver Minor Hockey Association, North Shore Female Ice Hockey Association, and Vancouver Skating Club for joining us and helping make the day so special.

The best part? Welcoming new families to the rink, sharing our programs and camps, and creating some great memories together. 💙

Thanks to everyone who came out, we’re already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Youth sports can build confidence, resilience, and friendships but only when kids feel supported, not pressured.

This story is a powerful reminder that even the most dedicated athletes can lose their love for the game when the focus shifts away from their happiness and well-being.

At Canlan Sports, we believe sports should be about the experience. Developing skills, having fun, and creating a lifelong love of being active. Sometimes that means pushing forward, and sometimes it means listening, taking a step back, or even letting go.
