The Deep Cove Yacht Club is a non-profit organization offering internationally The first is FUN! Secondly, the love of sailing.

Here at Deep Cove Yacht Club Learn To Sail we stress 3 major standards of excellence. We want every child who goes through our program to have the maximum amount of fun possible, when a kid is having fun all other things seem to brighten up. Sailing is a unique and amazing Olympic sport, sailing is not always about how strong you are or how fast you can run but it is about thinking and reasoning t

o make your boat move as fast as it can. Lastly one of our main focuses is on helping students gain confidence and life skills. Experiences such as these are what builds the foundational social skills and confidence that a child will hold on too for the rest of their lives. It is like a child driving a car but the speed depends on their actions and decisions. We have the children play lots of games and interact with one another helping build friendships as well as gain responsibility and teamwork skills.

Course bookings for our summer program are expected to open towards the end of February and keep in mind that our program totally sold out last year before a boat hit the water! We expect to have roughly the same capacity this year due to COVID restrictions so best to get your bookings in early!

The Learn to Sail program are also excited to have ordered 4 new RS Zest dinghies for use with our program which we expect to see in the spring.These new boats will replace some of the older boats in our fleet and will complement the RS Fevas we bought 3 years ago.
