North Vancouver 291 Pemberton Ave Shihan Asna Ashari was born in 1964 in Iran. He started Kyokushin Karate in 1979.

By obtaining his black belt in 1983, it was time to test his technical skills. He took first place in Provincial and National competitions in 1984 and 1985. Shihan Hamid opened his own Dojo in 1987 and this is still a successful Dojo in Iran. In order to further develop his karate career, he travelled to Japan in 1992. He practiced hard in Honbu for five years where he achieved his black belt, 4th Dan, and was assigned as an official Iranian Branch Chief by Sosai Oyama. Shihan Hamid got his 5th Dan in 1999 and managed Iran’s Kyokushinkaikan Karate Organization until he decided to move to Canada in 2002. He was one of the first people to join Kancho Royama, the founder of Kyokushinkan, and established the Canadian Kyokushinkan Karate Organization in 2003. He received his black belt, 6th Dan in 2004, and Kyushi Shihan License in 2005. Shihan Asna Ashari tries his best to introduce the real Budo Karate, which he believes gives an edge in life.

Ryubi-no-Kon is a classical Okinawan bo kata that has been incorporated into the Kyokushin-Kan curriculum as part of its effort to preserve the broader traditions of budo. While Kyokushin is internationally recognized for its demanding full-contact fighting system, Kyokushin-Kan places additional emphasis on traditional martial arts elements,Ryubi-no-Kon is not unique to Kyokushin-Kan. Variations of the kata can also be found in Okinawan kobudo traditions and it has appeared in the curricula of other karate styles such as Goju-Ryu and related systems . Depending on the lineage and interpretation,the kata may differ in tempo, stance, and technical emphasis. Osu !

Osu ! Frog push-ups can provide several benefits, especially for martial artists and bodyweight-training enthusiasts:

Wrist strengthening: For wrist stability and resilience.

Shoulder stability: The exercise strengthens the small stabilizing muscles around the shoulders

Core activation: Strong engagement of the abdominal and lower back muscles.

Kanku is a kata that brings together many of the fundamental principles of karate: posture, breathing , concentration, timing, balance, movement, and spirit. The name Kanku is commonly translated as “To Look at the Sky” or “Viewing the Sky.” The opening movement, in which the hands are raised toward the sky, carries a powerful symbolic meaning.The iconic opening movement of Kanku defines the name of the kata itself (Kan = to view/look, Ku = sky/void/emptiness). The basic structure of Kanku remains recognizable across Kyokushin organizations. One of the most noticeable differences between Kyokushin branches can be the way individual movements are performed.

The depth of the stance, position of the hips, angle of the feet, height of the body, and degree of rotation can vary.
The exact position of the hands, elbows, fists, and forearms can also differ between organizations.

When karateka from different organizations perform the kata, differences in technique and interpretation may be immediately visible. Yet the fundamental structure, spirit, and purpose remain recognizable.

This makes Kanku more than a grading requirement or competition kata. It is part of the shared heritage of Kyokushin karate. Osu !
