It was nice to see these signages for a circuit around the track near Harry Jerome Rec Centre. These were created by North Van Rec. If I were in charge, I would make some changes.
First, omit the exercises where you are lying down or on all fours. If I’m running or doing the circuit, I’m not going to lie down on the grass to do a shoulder bridge nor am I going to carry a mat while doing the circuit. I wouldn’t want to do push-ups on the directly on the grass either. But that’s just me. Maybe other people are fine with that. Or you can do it against a bench although I wouldn’t want to come in contact with surfaces during the pandemic. I would do those exercises at home.
Second, add more stations. There are gaps and lots of space. There is space for 5 or 6 more stations. There are a lot of other standing exercises for other parts of the body, not just glutes.
It’s nice to exercise outdoors. We need it both for physical and mental health. Remember to follow the restrictions, keep your distance and stay safe. If Dr. Henry says not to gather, do not gather!
