🥫 GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY 💙💚
During Fall Ball on September 25 & 26, we’re collecting donations for the Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) Student Emergency Food Bank.

We’re asking our NDSC softball family to help support students in our community who may be facing food insecurity.

Some of the most requested items include:

🍚 Rice — basmati is especially popular
🛢️ Cooking oil
🥜 Peanut butter & jam
🧼 Dish soap
🧴 Personal hygiene items
Pretty much anything is welcome — just please make sure it hasn’t expired.

Let’s come together as a softball community and make a difference. ❤️

🥎 WHAT A SEASON FOR OUR U9 LAKERS! 🥎

Our U9 Lakers were back at Provincials this weekend, ready to finish what they started in early August!

The girls opened the weekend with a convincing win to advance to the quarterfinals. There, they played an incredible game and battled right down to the final inning, coming up just short.

As the first U9 Select team in Jr. Lakers history, this group did more than play games—they helped lay the foundation for what comes next. They grew as players, competed with confidence and created plenty of great memories along the way.

Congratulations on an unforgettable season, Lakers! 💙🥎

🍂🥎 FALL BALL STARTS TONIGHT! 🥎🍂

We’re very excited to get back on the field! A few reminders before heading to the ballpark:

🧥 Dress warmly
⏰ Arrive on time—games will start promptly
👕 Hoodies will be handed out before the first game and will serve as team jerseys

Please bring:

✅ Cleats or running shoes
✅ Glove
✅ Face mask

Bats, balls and helmets will be supplied if needed.

We can’t wait to see everyone tonight—let’s have some fall ball fun! 🍁

🥎 Where did the summer go?

A huge thank-you to all our players, coaches, parents, volunteers and generous sponsors for making our first House League season such a fun and memorable experience!

We sure hope some amazing memories were made, new friendships were formed and a love for softball continued to flourish. 💙

We’re excited to keep growing, improving and building a great softball community for families across the Nipissing District.

This is only the beginning!

🏆 August Coaches Award Winners 🏆

This marks our final Coaches Awards of the season, and these girls are deserving!

They competed hard all summer, consistently gave their best effort, and helped keep their teammates positive through every high and low. Their commitment, teamwork, and great attitudes made a difference all season long.

Way to go, girls! This recognition was very well earned! 🥎👏

Mother Nature has officially called off today’s Skills Competition. Callander is still getting rain, and the fields are puddled and unsafe.

We were all prepped and really looking forward to today, but the safety of our players and families has to come first.

We’re sorry for the disappointment, but we’ll bounce back with a new date soon girls will still get their chance to shine, to show off their skills once the weather cooperates.

🥎 A Great Showing at Provincials! 🥎

Our U11 and U13 Jr Lakers were in action at Provincials this weekend, and both teams represented our program with pride!

The U11 Jr Lakers travelled to Vaughan and battled through two incredibly close games that came right down to the wire. Although the results didn’t go their way, the girls gave everything they had and capped off their season with an outstanding display of effort, teamwork and determination.

The U13 Jr Lakers travelled to Windsor, where they earned some dramatic victories and fought their way into the quarterfinals. Their Provincial run came to an end in a heartbreaking extra-inning game, but they should be extremely proud of everything they accomplished.

Our coaches are so proud of both teams and everything they achieved this season. The effort, growth and success shown by all our Jr Lakers teams during the program’s inaugural year have been incredible.

Congratulations, girls—you represented the Jr Lakers proudly, and the future of this program is very bright! 💙🥎
