This past winter, a local expedition team (Andrew Ryzebol, Scott Parent, and Billy Shearer) set off to travel 56km across Lake Huron/Georgian Bay, from Tobermory to Manitoulin in order to dive a shipwreck under the ice. The journey required them to travel across both ice and open water which necessitated multiple sets of equipment while needing to be as lightweight as possible for the 56km journey. They had to carry camping gear, food, ice climbing gear, paddleboards for open water and all the scuba gear to travel across the various mediums. We are very appreciative that they trusted our Easy Sled kits to help them travel across the ice. The kit was lightweight for them, stood up to the abuse of uneven/jagged "sea ice" and allowed them to quickly and easily transition from land mode to water travel due to the collapsible nature of our kit.
If you're interested in the journey and the pictures, you won't be disappointed in their individual facebook/instagram pages, or the local coverage article/podcast below:

We're thrilled that the Easy Sled was helpful to the team and held up to the abuse of an expedition like this. We wish the team many more safe and incredible expeditions!
