SPRA is an shooting organization that holds Long distance Target Rifle and Fclass shooting events. The range is located 6 miles east of Nokomis, SK at the North Star Range. This is a well setup location with firing points from 300 meters out to 1200 yards. But if you need to shoot farther, we can get right back to the fence and 1640 yards. There is a clubhouse on site and room for many campers and
tents with RV power hook ups. This style of shooting (Fclass) is shot laying down on mounds at different distances. Shooting anywhere from 10 to 15 shots per relay. And typically 3-4 distances a day. When you fire a round, the bullet strikes the paper target at the "butts". There are target pullers there who pull down your target and find the bullet hole and mark it with a shot indicator then a score, then sends the target back up for another shot. Fclass is split into two groups. F-Open and F-TR
F-TR is restricted to .308 or .223 shot from a bipod only. Weight allowed is 8.25 kg with bipod. F-Open is any caliber up to 8mm, any front rest, any scope. Weight allowed is 10kg
This is typically shot in pairs, but sometime triples if there are lots of shooters. Shooters are split up into groups by skill level. "Master" being the highest and down to "expert" , "sharpshooter" and "Greenshot"
