Part 2 - SOMEONE SHOVES YOU WITH BOTH HANDS. WHAT’S YOUR NEXT MOVE?
We call this THE LOCK DOWN. Someone pushes into my chest with two hands—I trap their hands against me, strike the shoulders, secure the clinch and drive the knee into the body. That’s Step One.
Step Two takes it further: elbow, head control, shoulder check, sweep and palm strike.
Here’s the funny part. When I teach this to our 3–6 year olds at Tiger’s Lair Karate, we call it the PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY SANDWICH. If they remember the name, they remember the movement.
Self-defence doesn’t have to be complicated. CONTROL THE HANDS. CONTROL THE POSITION. CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
Martial artists, your turn: someone gives you a hard two-handed shove to the chest—WHAT’S YOUR FIRST MOVE? Drop it below. I want to see how many different answers we get.
