Dear beloved Yogis,
I’m addressing to all of you that know me through attending my classes and all of you knowing me through this page or my personal profile.
I’m gonna be honest, I miss you all, I miss your startled eyes when I would say something out of your comfort zone, I miss your interest and effort in understanding the yoga philosophy as a whole and I miss your smiles when you acknowledge your progress into growing and expanding.
Times we live in, make me black sheep and forbiden fruit for most of you. I can’t apply and offer any of my knowledge and practice in-person classes. Truth is, nobody want’s me or can afford me since I won’t “bend” my spine the way they expect me to. Most of you know I’m standing up for individual/human freedom and independence, which means, I can’t succumb to any coercion so I can continue my yoga teachings to the public.
In some way, this is weeding out the “crops”. I see my yoga peers, selling face masks with yoga motives on it??!! Do I get upset? Yes, I do. A lot. But then, I go back to my intimate conversations with my husband and with my first and only yoga peer, Anita Spudich, and I realize, It’s not of my business, to call, judge or condemn these people.
Yoga doesn’t happen on your fancy mat or in your Lululemon outfit, it happens in those fine particles in the morning or when you throw your garbage out or when you think about all the wrongs you’ve done. It happens to be your life. And that is something you don’t get for granted.
I will meet you and share this love with you again.
I’m that. So-Ham 🙏
