☯️ Tai Chi may cost you your senior discount. 😄

“So, because I practice Tai Chi and look younger, I don’t get a senior discount?”

“Sorry, I don’t believe you’re sixty-five.”

We can’t promise Tai Chi will make the cashier question your age, but regular practice can help us stay active and improve our balance.

One of the things I appreciate most about Tai Chi is that it’s something we can continue practicing throughout our lives. Growing older is inevitable. How we care for ourselves along the way matters.

💬 Has there ever been a time when your senior discount was questioned?

TAI CHI/LOK HUP WITH FRIENDS!
I had a lovely tai chi holiday visiting the Cambridge, Orangeville and Newmarket locations. Check out the new Newmarket location. Tai chiers are lovely people. Go visit other locations. There are many wonderful tai chiers you can meet.

☯️ The ground may be one of your biggest allies.

With proper body alignment and structure, you can align and direct an opponent’s force into the earth. Using the ground is like having an elephant as your ally.

I’ve always loved the image of having an elephant as your ally. In Tai Chi, good structure and alignment allow us to connect with the ground rather than relying on muscular strength alone.

It’s one of those principles that becomes clearer through practice. The more we work on posture, relaxation, and rooting, the more we begin to understand how the whole body can work together.

Without proper alignment and structure, we miss out on many of the benefits of Tai Chi.

💬 When you are practicing your form, are you following Tai Chi principles?
