Maui North is one of the oldest same owner surf shops on the planet. Virtually every major board brand has made it through our doors at one time or another.

We started at the very beginning of Windsurfing, working directly with the inventor. Still rockin' Mistral (www.mistral.com), since 1976, is a world renowned leader in wind surf board and stand up paddle board production. We at Maui North are the North American distributor for Mistral.

2012 to present Mistral in Motion Tour
A tour across North America, including stops in Hood River Oregon, Salt

Lake City Utah, and Orlando Florida, to re-introduce legendary board line and lifestyle brand Mistral. Local and National events to come. Our initiative is to make Mistral readily available once again to North America, and offer its outstanding reputation for quality to the expanding sport and leisure activity known as Stand Up Paddle (SUP) and Windsurf.

It’s’ Canada Day !!

May we be spared the malignancy and depravation that prowls about seeking the ruin of our soul; and take this day to breathe in the full breadth, vibrancy, and depth of this marvellous Nation and its people.

Breathe it, feel it, be it.

YOU are the heartbeat.

This is your home.

The same can be said and extended on any day to the many nations and peoples of this earth.

May your life be wondrous, blessed, uplifted, and full.

Canadians are known to be some of the nicest people on earth, with a genuine depth of heart…if you know one, you know one.

Today is special…it’s Canada’s birthday!!

Happy New Y…!!

…alrighty then!

It’s been said that we here at Maui North march to a different drummer.

Truth.

What surfer do you know that doesn’t?

Anyway…what’s a 6 month gap?…it now being JUNE 1st, and not JAN 1st as we initially thought!

We checked the weather outside and our auto speller just to be sure!

Things happen.

You got us there.

Off on an endless reverie.

No matter.

Where the heart and soul reside…the rest seems to naturally follow.

Regardless of date, time, place, or calendar…our heart is still pounding and twitching…SURF!!

Our customers, riders…surfers all!!…the very fire that keeps us lit!!

Forgive us if we lose track of a day or 2, our heart’s in the right place, we have best intention; the surf calls and beckons.

And to all those who ride, and to those who have ridden with us….fair winds, and boundless sessions.

A Halloween Tale

We’re total board heads...we’d rather be riding...bookkeeping isn’t so much our thing.

Meet our Accountant....or shall we say, as he much prefers to be called, ‘The Accountant’.

Who are we to argue??

We searched high and low for someone with a certain mantle, who was up for the task, and could relate to our wayward, celebratory, board riding ways...a mix of general mayhem.

Money??...Bean Counting?...who’s got the time!? The surf beckons!

Then this guy showed up.

Admittedly, from the outset, he possessed a certain and notable flair.

Despite his outward appearance, there is no jesting with this guy...like ever.

And not just because it’s Halloween...do we refer to him, on the inside, as ‘Franken’cents’.

Honestly, if you buy a board from us....you best pay for it. In full. Just sayin’.

One thing Absolutely Terrifies him however.

It’s when we put on a global gear sale...like this one right now.

We know how to time things....it’s Halloween, he’s distracted, The Accountant is out and about doing his thing....we’re cutting deals.
